Tuesday Techniques!
Well I put it off as long as I could but it is finally here - the Tuesday Techniques session to introduce you to fitting trousers! And actually it is one of my favourites.
So if like me you have been putting off making that perfect pair of trousers then this session will set you up with some of the initial measurements to take, terminology and background to making your next trouser pattern fit your lovely body.
In this Tuesday Techniques session I explain
what good trouser fit looks like
how to take your body measurements
the key anatomy of a trouser pattern
how to compare your body measurements to your pattern
tips on analysing your own body shape to understand more about what adjustments you might want to try.
If you are willing to accept the challenge and have a pattern that you want to work on then why not give these modifications a try as you watch the video.
If you want to find out more about how to make a toile then check out this post: What is a toile and why do I need one?
If you have a pattern that is not a simple pair of trousers like the ones in these examples and would like pointers on how to apply this change to that specific pattern please let me know either in the Facebook Group or by email and I can share some tips and techniques to help you tweak this process for your garment.
If you have any questions then I love to help so email me at hello@sewmuchmorefun.co.uk and if you have any a-has or inspiration from this session let me know in the comments below.
